I haven't found much on Adolphe Philippe Millot, but he was a French painter, lithographer and entomologist in the late 19th century and early 20th century. I first saw his "Plumes" painting, and tried to do a little research. Lately I have been really inspired by the overlap of science and art, and want to learn more about it. I cannot find the true name of what these paintings are called. I was thinking "taxonomy paintings" but that isn't right. I'll keep searching, and correct it as soon as I find it!
